Eastern Creek State Round, Supporting Sids and KidsAfter a very successful weekend away at Eastern Creek at the NSW State Round, Jack Le Brocq and the Cams Rising Star/Minda Motorsport Team are feeling very confident heading into Round 3 of the Australian Formula Ford Championship at the famous Sydney circuit in a few weeks time.

Jack ventured up to Eastern Creek Raceway to get some laps in at the challenging circuit before next month’s National round. It was a very worthwhile weekend with Jack posting some very good results with minimal laps around the circuit.

“I was very happy with the weekend and to come away with some great results and the car speed that we had, I am feeling as confident as ever heading into Round 3. I just can’t to get back out there and prove to everyone that we can do it!”

Jack had a podium finish in Race 1 highlighting his weekend but was on target for a front row start before a red flag was pulled out at turn 9 on lap 2. Jack was also unlucky in Race 2 after he was run over the top of heading into turn 2 on the first lap by Liam Sager which sent Jack back to 9th place. After the Safety Car had cleared the track, he was then able to recover in the two remaining laps to finish 6th. Race 3 was cancelled due to a crash in an earlier race in another class.

“I was happy with my result in race 1 and to be running 2nd heading into the last lap was very promising. I was disappointed that we didn’t get to have a third race as it would have been good to try for a CAMS/Minda 1-2 finish with Trent, but we will take everything we learnt from the weekend and take it to the rest of the field again at Round 3.”

Jack is now busily preparing his car for a Test Day at Winton and Phillip Island before the Team head back up north again to the National Formula Ford Championship Round 3 at Eastern Creek on July 15-17th.
